I agreed to paint easy child/difficult child 3's room this summer. The fun all began last weekend and is just a never ending party! Not. I'm hot. I'm sweaty. I'm wishing it was done already. And the rest of my house is a disaster because of course since I'm busy working on her room, nobody else could possibly do any of the other work around the house without me directing and supervising the job. I'm just happy if easy child and difficult child 2 can keep from fighting for more than a 1/2 hour so I can do a little work at a time (difficult child 1 is away at camp until Friday). Anyway, I've got the top section of the walls done (she wanted a border of one color on the upper 1/3 (White Truffle) and another down below (Purple Essence)), and the first coat mostly done on the bottom of the walls. Then I gotta do the baseboards, doors and trim, and the shelves that go up at the top of her walls). There's a water stain on her ceiling that I have to cover and then I guess I'll have to paint the ceiling as well (dreading and saving that for last). Hoping to get it all done by this weekend because I'm sick of having all her stuff in the rest of the house! On the upside for today, I'm going to see "Mama Mia" tonight with a bunch of girlfriends, then to a restaurant for a bite to eat! I'm really, REALLY looking forward to that :D
