Over the years many of our difficult children and the rest of our families battle anxiety and problems linked to anxiety. I was looking up a medication and came across these 3 podcasts: http://www.maxalt.com/rizatriptan_benzoate/maxalt/consumer/helpful_resources/relaxation_podcasts.jsp?WT.svl=5 I have not listened to all of them yet, but they are by the maker of Maxalt, a migraine medication. The first one explains what they call biobehavioral techniques and the relaxation response. The second one explains diaphragmatic breathing and progressive relaxation. The third one reviews the breathing and then goes to guided imagery. I have not used THIS podcast's version of these things but I have used many others with a LOT of success. It may be helpful for anyone in your family or friends or teachers/therapists of any difficult child. Hugs to all.
