For my now adult child with purely ADHD, Ritialin was fantastic. Simply put, while it was in his system the problems were gone. It was alot easier to put up with some problems knowing that I could give him his medications if I really needed him to be able to focus/behave. I never used it during weekends/vacations because I didn't need to but I did send it with him for sleep overs (this way he was invited back, LOL) I use to say if our state outlawed Ritalin, I would have moved. Of course, everyone is different, and I don't know how it effects seizures but it sounds like you have a good therapist that knows to keep a close eye out for negative symptoms. Good luck.
