You are right it is a fine line we walk. I want to let my difficult child know that if she needs help we will always be there BUT that in order to get that help she needs to be respectful and showing potential. I think you did the right thing for this one. Getting this done was a necessity for his continued well being. Now hopefully he can get that job and keep on getting better.
