It's always amazing to me to look back to when I was at the darkest, deepest part of the pit I thought I would never escape from to where I am today. What a journey of hope, love and understanding. Finding that inner strength I wasn't sure I had which like you said, inch by inch I was able to crawl out of that pit of dispair.
Some might find it odd that I would be grateful for such a tough journey but I am. I am grateful for the lessons I have learned, for the inner strength I now know I have. This journey has prepared and equipped me for what lies ahead. To appreciate the moment I'm in and to know that I whatever life throws at me I can endure.
