I didn't put the focus on me, but I did make a change. I moved around to the other side of the prism and looked at my son from the other side. I saw our situation from another angle. It didn't look so bad. I'm dealing with it. I'm busy embracing his alternative lifestyle at the moment, but I'm still hovering, still reading and feeling sad at the heartwrenching questions and empowered by all the responses.
It is possible to live with it all. Sometimes it helps to make whatever small change works for us. I agree.
