Hi Witz, no, she hasn't called yet but that doesn't worry me since I got the text message. It is common for her to say she will call me "tomorrow" and then actually call a few days later. I'm not worried anymore, I just needed to know that she wasn't "missing." As soon as the guy at the club told me he'd seen her last week I quit worrying. You are right, it is a different situation than Susan's. I have no idea where she lives, if she is with boyfriend, if she drinks, smokes pot, all that kind of thing, and I am okay with that. I just wanted to be sure someone knew she was alive. I'm going to ask her for an emergency contact number just in case something happens to one of us and she needs to know or if she is out of contact for an extended time then I can make sure she's alive. You are also right--she doesn't ask me for anything, isn't trying to manipulate me or tell me "woe is me" tales so contact with her doesn't involve us in an enmeshment sort of thing. I guess we've come a long way, baby! Thanks, Jane
