glad she is safe.
I think it's interesting that she took her medications and called staff. I'm wondering if, somewhere deep inside, she needed to cool off. Perhaps her decision was based more on the need to get away or blow. Given that she called staff, is sounds as if she needed some verification. She didn't go running to some boy or man.
Wondering out loud here if perhaps, rather than getting in too deep in the moment and perhaps disassociating, kt has reached a point where she knows removing herself is productive? Kinda like when our kids were young us locking ourselves in the bathroom for a minute of two of peace...... Just seems like there was a definite level of control here on her part. I don't mean controlling the situation, rather controlling her emotions.
