[QUOTE="totoro, post: 355152, member: 3155"] THank you all! I posted over in General also... redundant! SRL- the school would never admit that they could not help her. Honestly they think they are helping her. They think she is doing pretty well. They want to keep trying. We want to be pro-active, we want to get her out before she fails. What the Day Schools that we talked to are finding and seeing are kids that are in 7 grade and up who have completely fallen apart and are failing so miserably that it is taking them upwards of a year to even get them functioning again. If they had been brought in much earlier they could be "normal" and thriving. What my Psychologist has seen in her years of working across the states and abroad is around 3rd grade our kids start to fail and then the parents and Schools keep hoping that they will be OK or they will make it. Or everyone is in denial or they just settle. Or sadly private school for most is too expensive. Most SD will fight the families as well. K's school is not anytime soon going to even hint that she is not doing well, and I think in there hearts they honestly believe this. We are also applying for a few special needs scholarships.
