Has anyone else had it done? We tried medications a couple years ago and it was a disaster. This time, they offered to do a swab DNA testing from the inside of the cheek, send it off, and a week later we had a list if medications that was suggested. There were three columns, suggested medications, use with caution, and use with extreme caution. I guess this tells what enzymes are in the patients liver, and how they metabolizes different medications. Some medications were listed as an ultra rapid metabolized, and some were slow. The only thing for her age group was Zoloft. Her sister had the same test and the only recommended one was Celexa. The things that the oldest child should not take listed all the medications she had been tried on before! I just thought I would post this in case others are not having luck with medication. I found some good articles by googling DNA testing for medication. Ksm
