[QUOTE="gcvmom, post: 397691, member: 3444"] So I got the scrip for acyclovir (Zovirax) and he's to take it 4x/day for 5 days. It's a pretty high dose. It won't guarantee that he won't eventually develop the disease sometime over the next three weeks. If he does become symptomatic, he'll have to go back on the Zovirax. The really annoying bit is that this messes up the scheduling for his bladder procedure. They jumped through hoops to get it scheduled for 1/11 but now it looks like he can't have anything done for 21 days after exposure to chickenpox. So the next date we're looking at is 1/18, which may not seem like long to wait, but at this point, every day feels like an eternity. :not_fair: The only faint hope we have is if the cousin's bloodwork comes back negative for chickenpox, though I have serious doubts that will happen.
