G'day, Sharon. Sorry you're in pain. I suggest skipping boot camp is a wise move. If cold doesn't work, how about heat? Get a small hand towel, fold it, wet it, wring it out, put it in a plastic bag and microwave it for a minute or so until it's hot. Instant heat pack. Just microwave it again as it cools if you want more heat. difficult child 3 had his first day at tech college today. He seems to have coped well. Didn't talk to any other students, he says, but he did talk to his lecturers and says he was able to stay focussed as well as he ever can. Today was a half day, tomorrow is a full day. He'll have a 90 minute break between classes which will hopefully give him the opportunity to talk to classmates. I'm concerned that he is already falling behind in schoolwork (he is still enrolled in school as well as college) but he has to live with that. If he completes the college course, he won't need his high school graduation. We'll know after the first term, I think, if this is going to work. We'll certainly know by then if it will not work, but so far it's looking good. I'm still sore as blazes after Saturday's galloping around the heart of Sydney. I walked a lot further than is good for me and my body has been screaming at me ever since. I'm beginning to wonder if I did some damage to my hips - triggered off the bursitis again. Saw the pain specialist today and he's going to try to track down my old specialist (now retired) to pick his brains on my behalf. Talked to easy child this afternoon - our grandbaby is growing out of all recognition but easy child seems to be coping better than I had thought. There are a couple of worries though, about baby's hips. For those of you who are on my FB page, see if you can see the lovely pics of the baby - easy child posted some more yesterday. Marg
