G'day, folks. Fran, have a safe trip. I hope the weather is good to you. TM, it sounds like a fairly routine day for you. I hope it goes smoothly. Andy, the tornado warning sounds a bit scary. I hope Diva gets there safely, and difficult child's babysitting session is a positive experience for all concerned. It's good for their social skills development to do these things. WFEN, jogging in the damper weather is a good thing - it's not so hot, and if you're swaeting a lot nobody notices because it just looks like you got wet in the rain. PLus, in summer the rain is usually warm so it cools you off only a little so the exercise session can be very enjoyable. At least, you can tell yourself that... I had to go see my doctor AGAIN today. My test results for whooping cough & mycoplasma are negative, but she's ordered more blood tests to be done in a fortnight, to see if the antibodies eventually show up. The symptoms are very much whooping cough... I also supported difficult child 1 at his appointment with the doctor, to get a referral to his new specialist. difficult child 1 also wants me to go with him to his appointment next week. Somewhere this afternoon I've lost the silicone nose piece from my glasses. It's most annoying, I now have bare wire next to my nose. I'm very much afraid I've lost it on the road osmewhere on the way back from mother in law's. By morning any rain will have washed it into the drains, I'll have to get a replacement nose piece posted out to me, which means being without it for the weekend. Unless I go out to easy child 2/difficult child 2's dress fitting on Saturday morning. difficult child 3 has worked well this week, I'm pleased with him. Especially today, since I wasn't able to be home with him. Hopefully tomorrow we'll have a quiet uninterrupted day so we can work on his maths lessons together. We have a lot to do, I'm thinking of trying something new - getting him to do several lessons at once, like a larger connectedness view of the work... His Friday afternoon tennis game is cancelled for tomorrow. I'm glad - I'm still not well enough to sit out in the cold with the boys, plus it gives him a little longer to finish his schoolwork. Although I might organise a one-off lesson with the woman who books the next-door court. We'll see how I'm feeling. At least if I send him to that class, I will know he will be supervised. As the current arrangement with his best friend's mother is, she has SAID she will take the boys but too often I find out afterwards that she never turned up, just sent the boys unsupervised. And they got hassled. I just can't take that sort of chance with difficult child 3. Oh well, tomorrow is another day. I'm sure I've heard that somewhere... Enjoy your Thursday. Marg
