got the book and question

I went to barnes and noble tonight and got the last copy of the explosive child I already started reading it and hope to read the whole book this weekend we'll see how things go with difficult child hopefully we will have a good weekend. Also I want to request the neuro psychiatric evaluation how do I do that? we see the psychiatrist next friday do I just tell him I want one? I'm new to all this and not sure how it all works yet.

Helen, ask the psychiatrist for names of neuropsychologists who do good testing in your area. If he/she does not know of any, check at a children's or university teaching hospital for neuropsychologists.

We didn't have a psychiatrist at the time but for our ins. we needed a referral from our pediatrician. good luck!
