We usually stay in Mackinaw City, we have stayed here before: http://www.expedia.com/pub/agent.dll?qscr=dspv&itid=&itdx=&itty=&from=f&shtl=1 We stayed here on the island: http://www.expedia.com/pub/agent.dll?qscr=dspv&itid=&itdx=&itty=&from=f&shtl=1 Most of the hotels on the island do not have air or TV's. The Grand Hotel just added air this year. All of the restaurants are pricey, even the burger joints. Be prepared to spend lots of $$$ on the island. While staying on the island is nice and quaint, you would enjoy staying in St. Ignace too. Just ferry over to the Island for the day. And bring warm clothes, the island is always more chilly than the mainland. St. Ignace is really pretty right on the water. It is a small "up north town" . There is a Indian Casino there. If you can think of anything else you want to know, just let me know.
