[QUOTE="DammitJanet, post: 445184, member: 1514"] My take on the discipline in the house is that Billie "thinks" she is doing it by yelling at the kids in a very loud voice and pointing and then getting very very aggravated and then screaming at them "okay then, fine, just do it, I dont care, break it. Just wait until your daddy gets home and I will let him know what you did." Then Jamie gets home and he is tired so he gets an earful about what monsters the kids have been and he is expected to immediately start changing diapers or making sippy cups before he even changes out of his uniform or takes off his gunbelt. His basic answer is "huh, well, whatever." He grabs a soda, a sippy cup and a diaper and sits down in the den to cool off. So the kids are running around with no discipline at all except for getting yelled at by mommy until she reaches her limit when she smacks them and screams bloody murder. Now granted, I was there years ago and I learned that didnt work at all. When I said I spanked, that isnt what I mean. To me a spanking is given in a controlled manner, not in an all out rage. They DO not like it when Tony and I try to give pointers...lol. Jamie tries to say things like we did things x way or stuff but I tell him we did learn a thing or two along the way and when we knew better we did better so maybe they should consider our experience.
