Sally is gone..... off to the rainbow bridge. The vet told me her systems were shutting down one by one; it would be easier if she had cancer or had a heart attack ~ the decision would be easier. And he told me that we could keep Miss Sally going for another couple of months but what quality of life was she having. I chose not to be there ~ the vet told me that many times an animal can feel his family's distress & doesn't go as peacefully. I left after I composed myself. I have a clay paw print from Miss Sally. I'm sorry I haven't been here before ~ it's been a tough couple of days for kt. She's just now coming to terms with this tho I've been talking about Sally's aging & that it wouldn't be a whole lot longer before she lets go. Thank you all very much. Kathy, I'm still going to stay in a yurt - I had the reservations the last time & I ended up with one of the tweedles going off the deep end. Not this time ~ I'll be talking to my sisters & SILs about taking a yurt weekend sometime next summer.
