As you know I lost my job and have been looking for a while. I applied to 6 places this week and got 4 responses and 3 interviews. I felt so confident that I had one of the positions but she just emailed me and said the position was filled. That makes two so far that have turned me down. It really makes me doubt myself. I NEED a job soon.

What do you do? Have you tried looking for an offshoot of your skills? (perhaps a different section of your industry). Have you tried places like freelancer.com, can you turn your skills into a freelancing job and be your own boss? Have you considered becoming a virtual assistant (see mondaymorningva.com for an idea of what a virtual assistant is).
