G'day, all. Sharon/LDM, sorry to hear about your fridge & freezer going. Do you have any alternatives? Any snow outside maybe? Janna, I hope B can find a job. It is such a difficult time. Kjs, sorry you didn't get any sleep due to the game. Do you have any plans for the long break? We had a busy day today. I made some phone calls to begin with, sorting out easy child 2/difficult child 2's wedding dress. Thankfully, it seems sorted although she still has to actually place the order, fast. I also got the appointments settled for difficult child 3's in-school lessons next week, as discussed last year. My diary is beginning to really fill up! Then I headed out to drop in at the mocal school on the way to collect easy child 2/difficult child 2, then had to turn back because I forgot some papers. While collecting the papers, I rang the local school instead (to save time) then the phone rang. daughter in law at a loose end, also wanting some papers from me. SO while arranging to quickly meet her to hand over the papers, she decided to come with us today (and was very welcome). So three of us went driving to the western suburbs (where the heatwave is at its worst) to look for the best wedding fabrics in Sydney, at the best prices. I posted on Watercooler about it already. We found the fabric and bought it, after doing a fair bit of comparison shopping as well as sampling some Asian delights, buying some groceries unobtainable in our usual neck of the woods as well as a few other specialties. But it was so hot! And no beach within range. Then back to the medical centre for my doctor's appointment. I was so tired by the time I got home, but we got a lot done. easy child 2/difficult child 2 has her fabric for her bridesmaids and flowergirl, she has swatches so she can go looking for matching shoes, I delivered some other stuff for her (and emptied out our place a bit more) and feel like we accomplished something. husband is off tomorrow and again we have a lot to do. Hopefully I will be in the cool for most of it and maybe even fit in a swim. Here's hoping! Marg
