I read this in the San Francisco Chronicle, and of course thought of our very own Totoro. Pixar is throwing open its doors Saturday for a fundraiser with international roots. This is a charity auction for the Totoro Forest Fund, selling works by famous animators and artists inspired by the 1988 Japenese animated movie "My Neighbor Totoro." The event raises money for the Sayama Forest in Tokyo, which is constantly threatened by developers and was the inspiration for the forest in the beloved movie. More information is at totoroforestproject.org.
