Almost, it is almost over! Totoro - I hope things will settle down for you before the week ends. Daisy - Would it help to practice signing in front of a mirror. If you can do a sign without watching your hands, you can watch the mirror to learn to "read"? I am almost ready to join the quest for the end of the week. difficult child is so tired tonight which brings out his not so nice side. He came just short of refusing to go to tutoring and I almost kept him back because it really is unheard of for him to refuse tutoring - he loves it. However, I did take him and asked the instructor to work with super easy stuff (review/practice) and I would pick him up early. I went and bought us both a pair of shoes then to Subway for sandwiches for supper. When I returned to pick up difficult child, he was coloring a picture with colored pencils. The instructor said his attention span dropped. I had a difficult time getting him to bed early and he ended up asking to use his stress eraser. He had run into a tree branch chasing the puppy and was anxious about loosing his eye sight. I had to remind him that he had done that earlier this summer and survived. He told me that he would blame me forever if he looses his eye sight. "Just go to bed and let it heal!" Oh but was he cranky and demanding when I picked him up from school. I am not looking forward to tomorrow if he doesn't get the sleep he needs tonight! Early out (noon) at school and no school on Friday. Next week early out Wed and no school Thur or Friday. He should be able to catch up with sleep Friday and Saturday mornings.
