[QUOTE="trinityroyal, post: 187787, member: 3907"] Steely, The thing about the corporate world is, it's motivated by profit and loss, not by fairness, equality, integrity or anything else. All of those qualities exist in many corporations, but those qualities are not the companies' reasons for existing. In many cases companies do pay attention to those qualities, because they're good for business. It makes financial sense to treat employees well so that you can retain good people. It makes financial sense to make products that are environmentally sustainable, non-toxic, useful, good for people's health, etc. because that's what matters to customers. However, even when a company has a lot of personnel and personality issues, if it's still making money and getting good customer approval ratings, then the problems don't ever get to the attention of the executives, the ones who have sufficient power to make the changes needed to get rid of the rot. Until this sort of thing starts to cost the company money, customers or its reputation, things are not likely to change. It sounds like the company you work for has lost its way. It's probably doing well enough that the balance sheets look good to the folks upstairs and they're not looking any deeper. I would get out now, before you get tarred with the same brush as the unethical people you're having to deal with. When you're choosing a place to work, make sure that it feels right to you. Don't take company ratings so much on faith. There are ways to make a company look great for those reviews, that do not necessarily show everything below the surface. Or, it could be that you just got stuck in the one rotten branch in an otherwise great place. Either way, I'm sorry that you're having to deal with all of this. Working somewhere that makes you miserable can drain all of your energy away. With everything else you're having to deal with right now, you need your work to be a haven of peace and order.
