husband received 84 birthday cards from all over the place. The "kids" (two easy child daughters in their 50's and two mostly easy child grandsons in their 20's) flew and drove in Thursday in time for dinner. We have pigged out with awesome meals, snacks and beverages from then until noon today. Honestly it could not have been any better than it was...it was FUN! We had lobster tails that GS caught, cleaned, prepped off the shores of Miami. YUM! We had backgammon tournaments, difficult child#1 husband and the visiting GS's went to difficult child#1's watering hole and played pool while watching our U of M team lose a big football game. It was an awesome long weekend. Biggest surprise of all was that Texas easy child and husband talked about Ace in detail. Her family wants him "when husband is ready". Ace had so much fun with the company that even the easy child who doesn't like dogs said "I think I want him too!" husband seeing how Ace thrived on all the activity "thinks" that maybe this summer Ace should become a Texan. I'm not pushing it but I do think it would be best for Ace and make our lives easier. It was terrific for everyone. DDD PS: I forgot. The girls are giving husband new hearing aids! WOW!
