But one thing I noticed with the people who I had contact with ~ the higher functioning people obviously felt a sense of responsibility for themselves. They did the work to be sure they knew when things were off and they also had a support system of other people who they trusted to let them know if things seemed to be off. </p><p></p><p>It's got to be grueling to always pay attention and question one's self if a person has a tendency for hypo-mania.
