[QUOTE="Mom2oddson, post: 353794, member: 65"] Wow Star! Now I see the reason for the circle of support! You really need it right now. Not taking the calls will get easier. It's like the first time you don't wait for them when they refuse to get in the car. Or the first time you lock the doors and go to bed not knowing where they are. You feel like the meanest, nastiest person on the earth.... but the sun still comes up in the morning and life goes on. It's never easy, but you get to a point where you don't take the guilt as quick as before. And if you do, you can let it go knowing that this is a situation that THEY created. In 7 months my difficult child-A will be 20. He's on a path to throw away his entire life and there is nothing I can do about it. You have done everything you could to get Dude the help/ learn the skills he'd need to survive this life. Now it is time to let him use the skills and survive or to chose not to use them and learn the hard consequences of life. It rips the very soul out of a Mom's heart and grinds it in the ground when the child we love can't be helped. I've had to turn both of my difficult children over to a higher power. I know that God loves them, even more than I do, and that He's more skilled than me. It's the only thing that keeps my head from exploding due to the worry, anger, frustration, tears...etc... If you chose to ship Dudes stuff to him. Check out the Flat Rate Priority boxes at the post office. It's one price no matter what the weight is. I use it anytime I have something very heavy to mail.
