First of all thanks so much for all the well wishes regarding the Unemployment hearing. I won't know for a few days how the ruling will go. Badwill did show up and you can't believe how incredibly formal the hearings really are. It was quite intimidating. (I'm not easily intimidated either) Badwill (hence forth known as BW) I figured would bring my manager. I'm guessing it went well. I made a very excellent presentation and turned in a folder of information to the judge. He even dismissed one of BW's charges against me. THAT made the HR lady pretty mad. The other charge it seemed like I did a very good job presenting my case that BW did NOT follow their own policy for months and months - and I'd never been written up - so why fire me? They said "quote" We didn't know who called LP to report Star - we just listened to what they had to say and watched the tapes, and made a decision based on what the caller said. OMG - that was it right there. I TOLD the judge they knew who the caller was, that she had it out for me, that she was supposed to be training me, that she was feeding me bad intel to GET me fired, and ultimately DID. DF walked out behind her and he said HR was not happy at all. He believes I have won. I said well - it did go well, but the law is the law and that's what he has to base this all on. So we shall see. I kinda felt like I won too. I hope so. I need a new car to get to my new job. hehe. I interviewed with the City that morning before all that junk above for a 911 call-taker job. They called me TODAY. Seems like a really neat job, with benefits, training, support - and while the hours are weird 12 hour shifts - the people are awesome. Lots of pre-to do's but if I pass those? I start in about three weeks.
