I swear someone has put an alien in my easy child's place the last few days. To be sure she definitely has major typical teen issues but listen to this. On Sunday she watered plants, gave the dog a bath, made cookies, helped difficult child with the dishwasher when he broke a bowl and was crying all without being asked!:faint: Last night she came upstairs around 9 to watch tv with husband and me. She was conversational!!!!!!!!!!!! At 10 I went upstairs to watch tv because it was roasting on the main level and we have a ceiling fan in our room. She stayed down with husband for an hour and then came up to watch a Law and Order rerun with me. This is something easy child never does and it was so nice! She was funny and fun to be around. Then she went back down to hang with husband when I went to sleep. She has definitely had typical teen moments lately, some that seem major but these are good things we are seeing. I don't want to get my hopes up but I really like her so much more this way (the love, of course, is always there). About 1 and a half months ago we started easy child on birth control to help with her moods. I wanted to try that before having to possibly start a more heavy duty medication like a mood stabilizer or ap which is what the psychiatrist was hinting at. Don't know if it is the birth control or just the fact it's summer, or the stars are all aligned but I love the small changes we are seeing. Just wanted to share this bit of good news!
