I avoid those balls like the plague. Besides, I couldn't keep my balance on one to save my life.
I was glad to know that after being sick a week, which meant no work out for at least 7 days, that I could pretty much get right back to it. I was so proud...........Until I couldn't move the next day. Muscles locked up. It was not funny, downright painful. This morning I did only 20 mins on the elliptical, skipped the treadmill (the place was packed anyway), and did 30 mins of weight lifting. Trust me, I'm still feeling the burn. ugh I'm going to work back up to that 40 mins on the elliptical the way I did it last time.
This is why I won't do a class yet. I have to do this stuff at my own pace. A class would make me feel pressured to push myself too hard too fast. And trust me, I push myself hard enough as it is. When my normal routine gets to the point where I no longer have soreness, I might consider trying one of their classes, just to change it up a bit. But I'm 2 months in and still feeling the burn. So I'm going at it every day. Evidently this 3 times a wk junk is not giving my body time to adjust.
We've got a few who joined after us.........and some who just joined up last week. A few are at least my age, so I'm watching them. And a few are around easy child's age. The ones my age.......their first day they really went at it. I thought to myself, I certainly hope you're normally a fairly active person, cuz you're gonna not be able to move tomorrow if you're not. They didn't come back for a few days. I noticed they took it down several notches today. lol The younger ones aren't progressing much faster. So I don't feel too bad. easy child is a tad obsessed, so I don't count her. lol
