Actually... Did you ever read about Grey Owl? That setting is closer to where I live, than Little House on the Prairie.
OR... I could lay claim to living in Green Gables... but that's a bit farther away...

Interesting... just the other day we were commenting that this is the first winter the poor snow-blower hasn't even gotten warmed up - usually, its getting regular work-outs by now! The shovels have been used, but nothing significant enough to have to blow ourselves out.

Having grown up in MN and never living through a snowless Dec and Jan for 30 yrs, I can only guarantee you that the snow will come. You'll get dumped on one of these days. It will just be later and shorter.
This is usually the very cold month.
March is usually filled with-heavy wet, huge quantities.
As for the farmer, maybe this will save him some work in April?

That's what I keep saying Terry. I KNOW it's coming and I know we are going to get CLOBBERED when it does. It IS Minnesota after all. Snow is as reliable "as death and taxes."
