I am really excited. 3 years ago I was contacted by a person at the state capitol about starting a support network statewide for families with children who have autism. I have done a lot of talking with the woman who has the job of organizign the network. Much of it is still for families with young children with autism, but at least someone at the capitol realized there is a need.
I have gotten emails, mostly with questions, over the last few years. I just got one about a 4 part lecture series on raising a young person with autism!!!!
After almost 3 years it is finally getting off the ground!!!!
The lecture is for people with kids under 6, so I don't benefit, but it is so neat to see things finally being available!!!
