Good Morning All,

It's supposed to be another day in the 60s here which is so nice! Back to work for me today as husband is staying home with difficult child for his suspension. Wish we had someone else to watch him but we really don't. Not much planned after school. Probably a workout but we are supposed to have book club but I'm not sure if I'm going yet as I 'm still fighting this cold somewhat.

I hope everyone enjoys some fun in their day and finds reason to smile. :kisses:

Sharon, you & husband are quite the tag team. Enjoy the weather - maybe difficult child as a "lesson" can start raking the winter kill. Could burn off some steam.

Not much happening in our world today other than a therapist appointment for kt. It's supposed to be in the 70's again today & I plan on enjoying it.

Sharon - i hope the cold goes away soon... we have had it and it seems to be lingering in the form of a racking cough.

Linda - enjoy the warm weather.

Its cooled down a lot here.. was in the 80's on Sunday and now its dropped to about the 50 mark. Who pinched the sun?? We are supposed to be having the warmest summer for 30 years this year.. heres hoping!

Still waiting for social services to move us over to a permanent team, difficult child still refusing to see me. I am waiting for the school to ring me to see how is reintegration into school went.

husband left for Cleveland this morning, will be home Friday. I'll be going to the school early today to put in my volunteer hours. I see a nap this afternoon as I only got about 3 hours sleep. Something woke me up and I had a hard time getting back under. :slap:

Lisa, it seems to take forever at times to get the services correctly in place. Hope it's not much longer. And sorry to hear difficult child still won't talk to you, I know it's got to tug on your mommy heart.

TM, hope you're able to get a nap in this afternoon, you definitely need more than 3 hours of sleep.

We had a rough night with difficult child last night. He didn't want to go to bed, was yelling at me, right in my face, I remained calm while signing to him. Gave him an Ativan, about 30 minutes later he settled down and went to bed, slept all night.
Not much going on here today. husband works at 11 this morning, he's not feeling well though. I never did fold laundry yesterday, so I guess I'll be doing that today. Supposed to hit 46 today with more showers.
I hope everyone's day goes well.

<span style='font-size: 11pt'>Good Morning all. It looks to be another lovely day. easy child and husband were able to build an arc and get out of NYC. I hadn't seen them in almost a week. It was good to have us all under one roof.

Wiped out, hope you enjoy your new student teachers. I still think you probably need another plan for when difficult child gets suspended. If not you and husband will be going through all your vacation and sick time. It's not likely to get better any time soon. I don't mean to be negative but there is some indication that difficult child isn't learning by the consequence and the school isn't learning by the results.

TM, are you going to get a nap today? Hope so. I dreamt I was applying to graduate school. :surprise: I tossed and turned half the night. Probably has something to do with easy child. I have no intention of going back to school for anything but interesting, enrichment type classes. Maybe you were dreaming you were my professor. :rofl:

jodice, I remember the sleep wars. They were ugly. I hope difficult child is a little more cooperative tonight.

Today is an errand day. So it's out of the house early and a lot of running around. We have our annual swarm of termites. This year it's the laundry room. :hammer: I really hate the little critters. Ugh. Hope the exterminator can re treat today. I think that's how you know when spring arrives in Texas, the termites swarm.
easy child and husband seem to have loved the college campus and the program. We are all pretty satisfied with easy child's choice. Now on to prom and enjoying graduation.

Tonight we celebrate foster easy child's 18th birthday. Her only request was a family dinner. Our family, not her bio family. It's sad really. So I'm off to get an ice cream cake.

difficult child hasn't been calling as often. Guess he must not need me for anything.

Sharon, I'm glad you and husband can take turns. I remember having to do that when my older three were little and I was working full-time. Not easy.

Linda, I hope the weather is warm for you. Got anything planned after kt's appointment?

Lisa, hopefully summer will get going soon for you. We had a warm day today even though it's after Easter, when our days generally are wintry. Not today!I hope difficult child's situation gets stabilised soon.

TM, I hate interrupted nights. I hope you get that rest you need.

Joanne, every time someone mentions a temperature like 46 I think, "Wow, that's hot!" but really, it's far colder than it should be for you, this time of the year. I hope it warms up soon for you.

We had a house full today, with difficult child 1 & girlfriend here, plus easy child 2/difficult child 2 & BF2 home from work. Still school holidays but we did get difficult child 3 to do some reading. I'm heading for a bone scan tomorrow, then seeing another specialist the day after. I've got others I should be seeing, who have been nagging my GP to go and see them. Meanwhile there is still so much to do and I'm just going to be too busy for the next few days.

Mom arrived at 5 yesterday but I've been riveted to the tv with the coverage of the tragedy at Va Tech. easy child's best friend's sister is a sophomore there. I was able to reach her by cell phone and she and her close friends are ok. Two of my friends from church have students there and they are ok as well. But, I remain glued to the coverage since it's so close to home :crying:.

difficult child's teacher sent him to the nurse yesterday because of his coughing and the nurse called me and said he needed to see his doctor asap because he was weezing and couldn't catch a breath! I rush up there and he's fine. He has been suffering but I worked hard to get the tight dry cough wet and succeeded. However, he and I went up to the doctor's office and, low and behold, he's ok, just bad allergies. They gave us some differnt medication samples and sent us on our way!

Not sure what mom and I will do today. She wants to take me out for a nice lunch but I have a cold coming on and not feeling 100%, nor can I really taste.

We'll see.....
