difficult child has mentioned a couple of times recently that it feels like pins are sticking him all over, or that little bugs are crawling all over on him and biting him. Yesterday, he said it like it was a normal, daily occurrence, and was surprised when I said I didn't understand exactly what he was describing, because that doesn't happen to me.

It's not just his legs or arms falling asleep, it's his torso area mostly, front and back.

Anyone have any experience with this?

Linda...I get this sometimes. It has a name but it escapes me right now but it is a form of hallucination. Its a tactile hallucination. Part of it for me is that I have peripheral neuropathy so my nerves dont always work just right but also it can be from the bipolar. Also some medications can cause this.

Linda, it can be a side effect of stimulants like methylphenidate. Ask your psychiatrist about it.

Either Lexapro or the stimulant (or both together) can cause this feeling. Check with psychiatrist.
