I just learned that if you dial *112 from your cell phone you will be linked to State Troopersin all 50 States to confirm that an unmarked car trying to stop you is, in fact, a law enforcement vehicle. It is especially reassuring to know that if you are alone at night you canmake sure it is an on duty officer. One young woman remembered this info and was able to find out it was an imposter. The true police dispatched and arrested a convicted rapist. I didn't know this so I wanted to share. DDD

I cannot verify this personally because I live in Australia where the rules are probably a bit different. I would strongly suggest that someone confirm this by contacting local highway patrol and ask them.

You can't do better than getting it from the horse's mouth!
