Raccoon Rescue! It was a cold winter morning when Kathy B in Planning and Zoning heard terrible screeching as
she left her house. She discovered a raccoon with its head stuck in a hole in a tree almost 12 feet off the ground, and immediately
called Animal Control. Officer A. J. McCall arrived, assessed the problem, and told Kathy that he wasn’t going to
leave until the animal was freed. After an hour of chipping away at the wood surrounding the raccoon’s head, he used a
critter-getter to finish pulling him out. Kathy says the beast was a little wobbly, but otherwise in good shape. She sends a
heart-felt thanks to Officer McCall for his caring and perseverance

That's one lucky raccoon! And probably one cold officer. LOL!! It was nice that a story like that made it to the paper.

Actually, I expect the raccoon wouldn't have been grateful for the rescue at all. It probably would've ripped Jamie's lips off given half a chance.
