With the site slowing down the last couple of days it's again become a concern about us loosing it. I did start to look into using word press to create another site but there would be a few issues with doing that. We would lose all of our data here, there is no way for me to port the forum content here to another site. Also I don't own the content or the user information so I think it would be illegal. I'm too old for jail.
As an "if all else fails" measure ~ if you send me a private message with your email address and real name, so I can verify, I will create a list of people where I can send out mass emails with any info I get if we go down. So in the event the site goes off line people can stay in touch.
~ I will not send out a mass email unless we go down.
~ The email will include everyone's user name here and email address
~ In your private message you will have to state that you agree to be included in the mass email as I'm describing it.
~ I will only include people who have had at least 10 posts/replys with significant content.
Any other suggestions are welcome. But please know I'm not like the wizard behind the curtain. I can do more or less normal admin tasks but don't have access to the data bases and also have not had contact with Runawaybunnie's daughter in a couple of years.
