I was told that I have to wait until August 1st,to send a referral letter of Special Education testing for my son.But I also, was told that if I write that he will be attending in August, I can send the letters out now.Which is correct? Also what is the proper names of the testing I am wanting?Do I have to list everything that I want done in this letter like,Functional Behavior Assessment,Positive Support plan,Autisum spectrum, excetra?Whom do I send these to besides the Sped supervisor? All I know,if something is not done,by the time school starts and if they wait until we have our first meeting,it may be to late(behavior wise).
    *Any help would be appreciated,
    *Thank You

I think it is more about the timing the school is required to respond by. Just call and ask if there is a timeframe for sending it in.
