Good Morning Friends,

We are in for a very blustery day:windy: I've never heard so much on the news about the winds we have coming. They said the last time we had a storm like this we had hurricane force wind and 6 people died. It also flipped semis on the interstate. Usually I love windy days and was excited for the winds til I started listening to the news. I've told easy child/difficult child who drives to school to make sure she takes an alternate route today so she can avoid the highway (she is on it for only about a mile but I don't want her on any roads where she needs to drive fast in the wind.

After work today I would love to head to the health club but have been so tired lately that I'll probably just wait til boot camp tomorrow morning.

Wishing everyone a peaceful day and for those of you in the high wind warnings-stay safe!

Good morning. :coffee:

Sharon - Hope everyone stays safe. We're supposed to get the wind later though it shouldn't be as strong as in your neck of the woods. But I'll have flashlights ready.

I will be cleaning today. Woo Hoo! I'm especially thrilled with this as I had a hard time sleeping last night due to IBS pain.

I'm going to be very pleasant today.

Have a great day! :salute:

G'day people.

SHaron/WO, stay safe in the high winds. I hope easy child/difficult child takes your advice and plays it safe.

TM, sorry your IBS is playing up again. Go gently with yourself.

Weather-wise today was warm but cool weather is forecast. It's still a warm evening and outside I can hear several possums playing and calling to one another. One just landed on the roof - it sounds like a group of kids getting up to mischief.

We had a bit of a lazy day today as far as schoolwork went. I had to see my GP (getting a referral) so we had to go out late morning and it wasn't worth going back home again, when we'd have to come out for drama class later on.

Meanwhile my phone was running hot with phone calls from a specialist at the hospital who was kicking heads over last week's surgical SNAFU for easy child 2/difficult child 2. Looks like surgery has been hastily rescheduled for early next week. All we have to wait for now is confirmation from admissions. Fingers crossed! The message I've been getting (reason for the mess) is a nervous nellie of a doctor, who despite claiming to be conscientious about my daughter's welfare, obviously wasn't conscientious enough to do his job properly and read his notes when he's supposed to.

Meanwhile the GP today has some ideas on how to sort out a few other related problems. New medical developments should make it easier. husband had blood tests done three years ago and got inconclusive results. Seems we should be more easily able to get the information we need now.

I had some time to wait in between all this, and thankfully had my laptop with me, so I got some work done too. I've got a lot to do over the next few weeks.

I had a meeting tonight to begin organising our village carols service. After one meeting I'm desperately trying to find ways to get out of it. There are a few strong personalities who I know, from past experience, don't listen to others or learn from them. I have so many other projects, I'd rather expend my energy where it can be most productive; better than banging my head against the wall!

Enjoy your Tuesday.

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!
We are in a winter storm watch starting tonight and through tomorrow. Unknown how much snow we will get but the area it is comining from will get 4 - 8 inches or more! I have convinced husband to pack a bag to stay over in the town he is working at 1 hour away if he needs to be there tomorrow. Predicting no travel tomorrow morning and looks like snow all through the day!

difficult child has taken a break from Jr Rifle club until after school bowling practice is done. He has 4:00 - 5:15 bowling team practice and 5:30 - 6:30 league bowling. Tonight should be the end of the 4:00 practice and he will return to rifle next week.

He did not see J at all yesterday at school and asked to go over to a friend's house after school. I told him I was still picking him up and would take him to the friend's house after he spent time playing with the puppies.

Everyone have a great day!

Good morning all,

Weather sounds frightful in the Midwest today - it's starting out as a beautiful day here...I wonder what we're in for later? Hope everyon plays it cautious and stays safe!
TM, go easy on yourself if you're not feeling well - don't worry, the mess won't go anywhere if you don't clean today! Feel better.
Marg, I am glad that some of the hospital issues are being cleared up. I'm sure your call had impact!
Andy, where are you that you have a winter weather watch for snow already? My God, I think I'd just about fall down if someone mentioned snow right now. I'm so not ready for that. Stay safe and warm~

My friend and her daughter met difficult child and I out for cosmolitos last night at a local Mexican cantina and then later easy child showed up to join us - it was such fun! The drinks, thankfully, were awfully weak, so I didn't overindulge - in fact, no one did, which was nice. We just had fun.

In the office today, class tonight - I have a test on the cardio system. I finished all my skill work last week, thank goodness, so I don't have to worry about that! easy child inpsired me to wear a dress today because it's so warm out today - I think it's supposed to get up to the 70's!! I normally don't wear any dresses outside of summertime, so my legs feel so exposed...☺

Good Morning Everyone,

Sharon (WO), Hope the windy weather isn't as bad as expected! Hope you get a chance to get caught up on some zzz's...

tm, Hope you're feeling much better today! Hope the cleaning goes as quickly and painlessly as possible! Try to find a bit of time for yourself...

Marg, Got my fingers crossed you get the confirmation from admissions ASAP!!! If that doctor is such a nervous nellie, he is in the wrong profession:mad:!!! Praying everything goes smoothly this time...

Andy, A winter storm watch already! - Today it is going to reach 70 degrees. It's extremely humid and looks like it's going to pour at any minute... Hope the weather doesn't turn out to be too bad and your husband is able to safely travel home.

I have PT this morning. I was going to try to get a quick jog/walk in but it's just too humid. I'm having "fun" instead doing laundry. Not too much running around to do today - Hoping to have a quiet day and evening...

As always, hope everyone has a good day... SFR

I am in Central Western Minnesota - Hopefully the worst will stay to the North of us (I am about 55 miles South East of Fargo, North Dakota)

A WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY EVENING.
* RAIN WILL MIX WITH AND CHANGE OVER TO ALL SNOW TONIGHT.
* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS ARE SOMEWHAT IN QUESTION DEPENDING WHEN CHANGE OVER OCCURS. SIGNIFICANT ACCUMULATIONS ARE POSSIBLE.
* SNOWFALL COMBINED WITH THE EXPECTED STRONG WINDS MAY CAUSE A SIGNIFICANT REDUCTION IN VISIBILITY.
* ROADS MAY BECOME SNOW COVERED AND SLICK FOR THE WEDNESDAY MORNING COMMUTE.

We also are in a high wind warning starting this afternoon.

Andy, I'm just south of you so if you do get the s**w, let me know so I can get the shovels ready. HAHA. This wind can take a hike though. Spent most of the week-end raking leaves from the yard and today it looks worse than before I started. UGH!

WO, do you have the rain (heavy sprinkles) we are getting with this wind?

TM, H&R, and SFR, I wish I was where you are. 70 degrees even with wind sounds heavenly to me right now. My poor furnace can't keep up.

Marg, I hope everything goes well. Glad things are moving.

It is definitely a chili and movie night. Will have to turn the volume up to hear the movie over the howling tho.

Hope y'all are doing decently. My Dad called and he's been watching the weather up this way, he's originally from MN.
