Hubby was rehired!

The utility company that Hubby was working for last January called and offered him his job back! Same position, at current salary (not what he was making when he left), and he keeps his original hire date.

He went for the drug test, peed in the cup, dropped the cup before leaving the restroom, cleaned up the floor, peed in the cup again, and got the cup to the nurse.

He's supposed to start work within 7-10 business days.

That's amazing. I'm thrilled for your husband (and you too of course!).

S/O was laid off and is now wrapping up a 3 year condensed course (2 years) in a few months in avionics. We're hoping for a position for him locally in avionics for a local international airline (crossing fingers for this company!!) but the super good news is that the international mining company where he worked has been calling asking for him to return. He recently spoke to his former boss and he is assured of a position after graduation if he chooses to. So at least one way or another, he'll be employed when his course is over. He feels so good knowing his former company sought him out to return, that his self esteem went way up which was so good to see. I am betting your husband feels the same thing, along with the obvious relief of returning to a good job.
