Pre heat oven to 350 Melt 6 Tbl unslated butter.Add 3/4 cup brown sugar. Stir. In medium bowl combine 1/3 c flour, 1/2 c whole wheat flour, 3/4 tsp baking soda, 1 1/2 cups regular oats, and 1/2 tsp salt. Add butter mix to dry ingredients and add 1 lightly beaten egg,1 tsp vanilla, 1 cup chopped dates and 3 oz coarsely chopped bittersweet chocolate. Mix and spoon by tablespoon-fulls onto lightly greased baking sheet. Bake 12 minutes until tops are dry to the touch. Enjoy!
