Thank you all for the support. I have to admit, I was a bit nervous because after the MRI, the tech asked if I had earrings in - which I didn't. She replied that there were some funny things on the MRI and if I had earrings in she was going to redo it. :faint:
I was surprised to get the results so soon. I figured it would take a couple of days.
Janet - I'm not claustrophobic, but having that thing over your head then being put into this small space was very disconcerting. I kept my eyes closed. It only took 10 minutes, though. And thank god for the earplugs because it was really loud.
Star - I don't have periods. I take aygestin (synthetic progestin) because of endometriosis. It keeps my estrogen at a low level - no fluctuation. It's that plus the lexapro which has been the magic combination that works for my depression, too. Because of all the pain in my neck, shoulders and back my doctor thinks the headaches are related to whatever suspected rheumatic activity that is going on. She put me on prednisone for inflammation and took me off Voltaren while I'm on them. My head still hurt last night but nowhere near as bad as 2 nights ago. I'm still having a lot of pain in my neck, shoulders and back though.
I have wondered about POS, though. It's something I was going to talk to my gyn about at my next visit which I'm overdo for.
I do appreciate the suggestions. There are so many things out there and it's nice to get ideas from those in the trenches.
