Fly away!
As many may know, I was diagnosis'd with Myasthenia Gravis (MG) in September by a physiatrist.
Monday I see a neurologist who specializes in neuro-muscular disorders. This will be the third neuro since December. First one dropped the ball and wouldn't return my phone calls, second one wasn't a neuro-muscular specialist and is the one sending me to the one I see on Monday.
Other that the initial dose of mestinon (60mg every 4 hours), my MG isn't being treated. That is a very low dose and I've had a lot of days where it hasn't been enough. This entire week, for example. It is an effort just to stand - my leg muscles shake and burn, it is an effort to hold the gas in the car and I have to put my car in park at red lights because I can't hold the brake.
So, I'm asking for good thoughts that this guy will get the ball rolling. He's supposed to be really good. I'm ready to deal with this and move on with my life.
Thanks in advance!
