Hey, guys, insurance isn't too bad out here in the sticks! If son is the secondary (occasional driver) or our little Escort, and keeps up his grades, we'd only have to pay $40 month more in insurance!!! At least THAT is a positive ;)

But I want to take him in parking lots and see how he does. Or, rather, I want HUB to go in parking lots with him...hey, I'm no hero

Good idea. As is Rotsne's, to go on a racetrack. My husband and I took classes at BMW in SC, but they are very expensive. (It was a blast!) Maybe there's something less expensive locally.
I took my easy child in school pkng lots when it was rainy and icy. She learned a lot. I got so sick to my stomach. It was worth it, though!

My son would freak out at a race track. I'm pretty sure that it will be years before he drives on main roads. He is very cautious, as Aspies are, and will probably just drive to get to school or work. He has already said he will never drive on an expressway...lol. I didn't drive on an expressway for about five years. I think my daughter would enjoy a race track, but isn't that dangerous to both the driver and the car? I never heard of that and I've had three kids get their driver's licenses already...
