I know I am a bit old fashioned on some things. Esp things on tv that my kids might see.
I caught a commercial for the new show "in the motherhood" that starts on ABC in a couple of weeks. The show is all about 3 or 4 women and their kids and pregnancy and families.
In the commercial the women are at one table having coffee and there are 3 kids, looked under 10 or so, at a smaller table. One of the adults turns to the kids and says, "Guess what? Aunt Jane hasn't has sex since the baby was conceived!"
And another woman (pregnant) says, "Not me. 2 hours ago and I got free cable!"
In an adult comedy this wouldn't bug me. But the comments were not said between women with kids near them. They were said TO the kids.
I just find it so WRONG. I know I won't watch this, but do the rest of you think this way about it? Or am I hopelessly old fashioned and prudish?
Is this the standard for "funny" in family time television now?
