What is the best way to find the least expensive plane ticket for an immediate trip?

Or, go directly to the airline's website and they often have the best prices. I also check all of the travel websites such as http://www.orbitz.com www.travelocity.com, .... I have been doing this non-stop all week! I finally found a sweet deal at the cheaptickets site! Good luck~

Another one to try is http://www.hotwire.com.

I get all my hotel rooms through hotwire and I know that they also have airline tickets. I haven't tried booking a flight through them but I bet they have great deals on those, too.
