There's a great big new poster up at school on the main bulletin board encouraging kids to get active. Its sent out by some group fighting childhood obesity.

Its a wanted poster. It has a pair of cartoon sneakers on it and says "wanted: Stinkius Althelticus Shoes".

Oh, the irony in this place is enough to OD on.

Did you save difficult child's tennies? You should gift-wrap them and turn them in at the office with a copy of the poster asking for your reward!

Do you have a camera on your cell? This is the time to use it. Take a picture of that poster and then print it out. Stick old tennies in shoe box along with picture of poster and send to school.

While those well intentioned people put up posters...the school boards cut back or remove PE from the curriculum. Makes no sense. DDD
