How to use Your IRS Rebate check...
As you may have heard, each of us will be getting a tax rebate check to stimulate the economy.

If we spend that money at Wal-Mart, all the money will go to China . If we spend it on gasoline it will go to the Arabs. If we purchase a computer it will go to India .

If we purchase fruits and vegetables it will go to Honduras ,and Guatemala .

If we purchase a good car it will go to Japan .

If we purchase useless stuff it will go to Taiwan and none of it will help the American economy.

We need to keep that money here in America .

The only way to keep that money here at home is to spend it at yard sales , since those are the only businesses left owned by Americans !!!

    PASS IT ON !!!!

    totoro Mom? What's a GFG?

Great!!! Thanks for depressing me!!! LOL True though.

I do try to buy at farmer's markets from locals etc... but it adds up. And that is only some food and little things. Can't get a computer at a farmers market!
I like the consignment stores also.

That's about the size of it!

A local grocery store is offering 10% extra if you spend your rebate check in their store. If your check is $400, they will give you $440 to spend in their store.

Seems fair considering the price of food. Even though it is all going to Chile.

Well, that certainly sums it up.

Well, I guess you could use it to pay off bills like husband and I are doing. lol What I don't spend there will probably be spent at yard sales.

I don't know about anywhere else, but I can't afford our farmer's market. They're charging half again as much as the grocery stores!

You mean we can't spend it on male prostitutes? They are home-grown, aren't they? Sounds like that might be more fun that yard sales. Sorry, I don't like to shop.
