What song do you have stuck in your head?

On Star's post about auras, Heather mentioned that her radio-in-the-head is playing...

Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love ya, Tomorrow.....Daniel, my brother, You are older than me, Do you still feel the pain....Heard it from a friend who, heard it from a friend who, Heard it from another you've been messing around....

I'm so very glad that I'm not the only one who suffers from "musicosis".

Today my travelling band has been playing:
I want you to tell me why you / walked out on me / I'm so lonely every da-ay
I want you to tell me why you / walked out on me / nothing seems to be the same ole way...
:singer:etc. by Canada's songbird Anne Murray.

(by the way, did I mention that this song annoys me to no end?):crazy2:

So...do you ever get music stuck in your head?
If so, what's playing?

Only whatever boyfriend decides he is going to sing in the morning. This morning it was a Frank Sinatra song. Thank goodness it is out of my brain, so I will not try to recall the words! LOL!

The song that has been stuck in my head lately is this song my student teacher is using to teach my students the state capitals. She plays it over and over and it's working but it is so annoying. Some days I can't get it out of my head!

There is *always* a song or two or three stuck in my head. Sometimes they just pop in there from out of nowhere.

And the bonus - I get to annoy difficult child by singing them out loud. Especially annoying since I can usually only remember a line or two.

When I was going to VoTech, I would usually hear a song on the radio when I reached a certain intersection. What was so strange was I would not think about that song again until I was at that same intersection on the way home and that song or whatever was on the radio that morning would pop into my head. It would only happen at that intersection.

When I do have my head radio on, it is usually, "Tammy" or "Somewhere Over the Rainbow"

When I was in my early 20's, I had a co-worker who would often ask me to stop humming. I love having a private office - I can sing along with the radio or whatever CD I choose and no one complains.

"Hello, hello, I don't know why you say goodbye, I say hello."

For me, it's almost always an annoying song, one I don't really like, and then only a couple of lines of that annoying song that loop through my head over and over :angry-very: .

I have been driving Hubby insane all week with the song in my head. I spent most of the past two weeks in kindergarten, where all of them are singing "Alphabet Vacation." And it goes..."meanwhile back at the office, the sign on the doorway said...it's the alphabet vacation, the letters all took a rest, from Z to A, they all went away, to do what they like best." And then each letter's activity is described...and I can't remember all of them, but "Y went to Yosemite, and then on to Yellowstone." I was singing it to myself today, and the first graders remembered the song, and thought it was hilarious that I was singing. It was a really fun day.

I think in a former life I must have been a dj......I never get just one song stuck in my head - they cycle through about 20 or so an hour. In bits an pieces - right now -

Alice in Chains - Im the man in the box
Ozzy - Crazy Train - i i i ........all aboard..........hahahah
Wipe out......
The Scorpions - i'm still loving you
a mix of Verdi, Bruch Dvorak
back to walk like an egyptian.......
LOVE SHAK BABY LOVE SHAK.........HENNNNNNNNNNNNNNNRI

I figured this went on with everyone like me

So happy together - I can't see me typing to nobody bout this for all my life......
JEREMIAH was a bullfrog........
Walk like an Egyptian..........

Yeah - pretty much like that all day - but I can hit perfect pitch for every key if I hear it - I can touch the key it starts in. Weird huh?

Scooby dooby doooooooo where are you I've got some work for you now.....

Mine right now is Bumper of my SUV.

I've got a bright red sticker on the back of my car,
Says: "United States Marines."
An' yesterday a lady in a mini-van,
Held up her middle finger at me.
Does she think she knows what I stand for,
Or the things that I believe?
Just by looking at a sticker for the US Marines,
On the bumper of my S.U.V.

See, my brother Chris, he's been in,
For more than 14 years now.
Our Dad was in the Navy during Vietnam,
Did his duty, then he got out.
And my Grandpa earned his Purple Heart,
On the beach of Normandy.
That's why I've got a sticker for the US Marines,
On the bumper of my S.U.V.

But that doesn't mean that I want war:
I'm not Republican or Democrat.
But I've gone all around this crazy world,
Just to try to better understand.
An' yes, I do have questions:
I get to ask them because I'm free.
That's why I've got a sticker for the US Marines,
On the bumper of my S.U.V.

'Cause I've been to Hiroshima,
An' I've been to the DMZ.
I've walked on the sand in Baghdad,
Still don't have all of the answers I need.
But I guess I wanna know where she's been,
Before she judges and gestures to me,
'Cause she don't like my sticker for the US Marines,
On the bumper of my S.U.V.

So I hope that lady in her mini-van,
Turns on her radio and hears this from me.
As she picks up her kids,
From their private school,
An' drives home safely on our city streets.
Or to the building where her church group meets:
Yeah, that's why I've got a sticker for the US Marines,
On the bumper of my S.U.V.

You know what drives me nuts is BEING a DJ and not being able to get the most riduculous songs out of my head. Stupid songs. My latest one is Stevie Wonder's "Don't you worry about a thing." That's been going on for awhile now. Hmmm...maybe that is a sign.

Think A-Line dresses, flip hair-dos, and white Yardley white lipstick....

Sunny, yesterday my life was filled with rain
Sunny, you smiled at me and really eased the pain
Now, the dark days are gone, and the bright days are here
My Sunny one shines so sincere
Sunny, one so true, I love you

GARTH BROOKS???????????

AAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

I'm TELLING TOBBbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbyyyyyyyyyy. :surprise:

CHEATER, CHEATER, CHEEEEEATERRRRR

Songs come and go in my internal CD player.... sometimes I love 'em, sometimes I hate 'em. Gotta love that "Sunny" witzend ... wow does that take me back :)

The constant musical theme that I almost always hear is the theme from Beethoven's Sixth Symphony (the pastoral symphony). It's almost narcotic for me and always soothing when I'm in an anxious situation. It looped endlessly through my mind when I was in labor with easy child. My ob/gyn was whistling whenever he came in the room, and in my feverish mind I thought that was what he was whistling. Later I commented on this, and he said Beethoven, heck no, that was Bruce Springsteen :) I guess music really is a personal experience!

After I heard this at church, I went out and bought the CD.
It stuck in my head for a long time.
It's called "Does Anybody Hear Her?

She is running
A hundred miles an hour in the wrong direction
She is trying
But the canyon's ever widening
In the depths of her cold heart
So she sets out on another misadventure just to find
She's another two years older
And she's three more steps behind

Does anybody hear her? Can anybody see?
Or does anybody even know she's going down today
Under the shadow of our steeple
With all the lost and lonely people
Searching for the hope that's tucked away in you and me
Does anybody hear her? Can anybody see?

She is yearning
For shelter and affection
That she never found at home
She is searching
For a hero to ride in
To ride in and save the day
And in walks her prince charming
And he knows just what to say
Momentary lapse of reason
And she gives herself away

Does anybody hear her? Can anybody see?
Or does anybody even know she's going down today
Under the shadow of our steeple
With all the lost and lonely people
Searching for the hope that's tucked away in you and me
Does anybody hear her? Can anybody see?

If judgment looms under every steeple
If lofty glances from lofty people
Can't see past her scarlet letter
And we've never even met her

If judgment looms under every steeple
If lofty glances from lofty people
Can't see past her scarlet letter
And we've never even met her

Never even met her

Does anybody hear her? Does anybody see?
Or does anybody even know she's going down today
Under the shadow of our steeple
With all the lost and lonely people
Searching for the hope that's tucked away in you and me

Does anybody hear her? Does anybody see?
Does anybody even know she's going down today?
Under the shadow of our steeple
With all the lost and lonely people
Searching for the hope that's tucked away in you and me
Does anybody hear her? Does anybody see?

Thanks to witz, Alphabet Vacation is gone. Now I'm singing Sunny. Hubby's working this morning, so I'll see what he thinks of the change in music.
