We just got a letter from school about thank you. He was really nervous because he thought it was about a lost library book .

It was NOT.

We got a letter from his Gifted and Talented teacher saying he is in the top 5% of students IN THE NATION in reading!!!!!!!!!

He is now eligible for a program from Duke University until 7th grade when they retest!!!!!

We are so PROUD of him!!!! I don't think he realizes what a big deal this is and how this and continuing effort/progress could lead to college scholarships, etc....

Actually I do NOT worry about library books. Ever. I made it very clear that I do NOT want the kids to check them out (have paid enormous fines for books they lose/hide) and I refuse to ever take responsibilty for them.
