Mom? What's a difficult child?
YA' THINK????
We had her screened in Idaho at 3. 0-3 Child find. "No, we don't hear a thing"
By the UofA last year. At the anxiety clinic. "No we don't hear a thing"
Asked her Pre-School Teacher a few times what she thought... "possibly let's wait and see, sometimes these things get better, she is young lot's of kids clutter"
At the early intervention through the SD..., "She has a big vocabulary, no cluttering"
NOW, the Kindergarten which uses some of the same people who tested her through the SD but in a different setting, have "heard" something in the beginning of the year, they do a pretty cool RTI thing with all of the areas not just academics and then track the kids. (AZ has a great RTI program)
They are going to re-evaluation her in a few months because it seems to be effecting her and they know this can cause a problem in life. They will re-evaluation earlier if the Teacher is concerned, she is one of the ones who saw it first also.
We were at a meeting for Motor Development also, she is being put in Adaptive PE 2x's a week. But not under a 504 plan, this is like the RTI as well, it is a preemptive measure because she is not serious enough to really qualify for the 504, but they realize she needs some help.
So while this good... hello!!! Once again parent instinct is right on!!!
We are not crazy!!!
And this also makes me so glad we chose this School.
