That price for colour & highlights sounds great! Yes, I am taking the exchange rate into account...
I'm a cheapskate. I colour my own hair, when I get to a point where I can't stand the roots. AND I do it in half-batches to save even more. It still looks just as good, but each pack of hair dye does two treatments, not one. That's what I get for not having a lot of hair...
I count on sunlight to give me highlights.
As for Vegas - we're casino virgins mostly. Whenever we've travelled around various parts of Australia husband & I have made a point of trying to at least put a toe in the door of each state's official casino. But frankly, those places really worry me. When we went to "Rocky Horror Show" last Sunday with easy child 2/difficult child 2, it was in one of the two theatres in the casino in Sydney. The place is designed to funnel the customers in; to get to almost ANYWHERE in the place, the shortest route is through the casino. Getting out again is not easy.
I think I'd go into shock if I ever visited Vegas.
I did get my hair cut (again) on Monday. husband hates it. although he says it's not looking quite so bad since it has settled down a bit. I'm still not sure if I like it - I go to a budget hairdresser, I get the cut that the hairdresser thinks I asked for and thinks will look good. If I don't like it when she's done, she keeps cutting until I like it or until I give up. I can never be sure of getting the same person each time, who won't remember how I like my hair cut anyway (because I wait six months between cuts!).
Oh well, life is an adventure. At least I keep friends and family off balance. I'll have to bleach my hair, dye half of it hot pink and it will match the cut admirably.
Just call me Cyndi Lauper.
